THE BIRTH OF EVANGELICAL RESTORATION CHURH

hindura

And the Lord answered me ,and said ,write the vision ,and make it plain upon tables ,that he may run that readeth it. The vision is yet for an appointed time ,but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry ,wait for it ;because it will surely come, it will not tarry”(Habbakuk 2,2-3)

In 1984, I visited Rwanda for the first time after decades in exile and God spoke to me about the country. In the aftermath of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi, Rwanda was a desolate country filled with blood and bones of victims who are estimated to 1 million. God commanded me to organize a mission trip to Rwanda through the earlier created ‘Jerusalem Ministry’. The mission included among others delivering a special message of God destined to the new authorities in Kigali.

The Journey began when he founded “Jerusalem Ministry” in Democratic Republic of Congo, that aimed to help his fellow Rwandan refugees to regain hope in that foreign land.

In 1994, he was called by God to move to Rwanda and there he founded Evangelical Restoration Church. With the vision of a Church family where those who were nearly lifeless due to the horrors of the genocide against the Tutsi, would be restored into life givers. Today, Evangelical Restoration Church has over 80 parishes in Rwanda and 10+ in other African Countries. On my way to Kigali God reminded me of the words he had told me ten years earlier through Ezekiel 37:1-10 and confirmed that the time of great work among his people and nations starting from Rwanda had come. At that time, Rwanda was looking like the valley of dry bones Ezekiel saw in the vision which became a vast army by the power of the Word and the Spirit of the Lord.

God clearly asked us to start a church that would be a Family Church where everyone would find a father, a mother, a sister, and a brother and where dried broken hearts would be restored and equipped. The ultimate vision was to bring restoration in the World where there is spiritual, emotional, and physical death and dryness.
